This policy explains what personal data AI-Footy ("we", "us") collects, why, how long we keep it, and your rights. We act as the data controller for your account, and as a processor for the match/training content you upload. By using AI-Footy you agree to this policy alongside our Terms & Conditions.

1. What we collect

We do not sell your data or use your footage to train shared models without your explicit consent.

2. Footage, players & children

You must have the right and consent to upload any video/data containing identifiable people.
For footage of minors you are responsible for the required parental/guardian consent and for complying with child-safeguarding and data-protection law. Do not upload such footage without it.
Analysis outputs (positions, events, projections) may constitute personal data about players; treat them accordingly and share only with a lawful basis.

3. Where it's processed & who sees it

Your data is processed on our server (a droplet you or we operate) and by these processors: Stripe (payments), the hosting provider (e.g. DigitalOcean), and optional model providers only if you enable them. Optional heavy models (YOLO, SiamRPN++) run locally on the server, not sent to third parties.
Access is limited to your account (by email). We access your content only to operate or support the service.

4. Retention & deletion

Saved projects/reports are kept until you delete them (Account → My Projects) or your account is closed.
Uploaded footage used for a one-off analysis is not retained beyond producing your result unless you save it.
Subscription records are kept as required for tax/accounting (typically 6–7 years).
On account closure we delete your projects and personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep by law.

5. Your rights

Subject to law (UK GDPR / GDPR) you can access, correct, delete, export (portability), or restrict processing of your data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Use in-app deletion, the Stripe portal (billing data), or contact us. You can also complain to your data-protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).

6. Security & cookies

We use HTTPS/TLS and limit access. No method is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures.
The app stores your email locally in your browser (localStorage) so you don't re-enter it — this is not a tracking cookie. Stripe may set cookies needed for checkout.

7. Changes & contact
